The ×6 rule on this site
English Sumerian multiplies each Ordinal letter value by six. A=6, B=12, … Z=156. For a pure A–Z word, that equals the Ordinal total ×6. The name is a modern cipher label — not a claim about ancient Sumer.
LOVE: 54 vs 324
Ordinal: L=12 + O=15 + V=22 + E=5 = 54. Sumerian: L=72 + O=90 + V=132 + E=30 = 324. Check: 54 × 6 = 324.
GOD: Ordinal 26, Sumerian G=42 + O=90 + D=24 = 156.
Why collisions change
Scaling spreads totals across a wider range. Two short words that share an Ordinal sum will still share a Sumerian sum if both are pure Latin — but casual “nearby” numbers from other ciphers will not line up unless you converted maps correctly.
Which to choose
Use Ordinal when a source says “English gematria” without naming a scale. Use Sumerian when they show A=6…Z=156 or say Ordinal ×6. Do not multiply a Full Reduction total by six and call it Sumerian on this site — that is a different custom. The Full Reduction map is covered in Ordinal vs Simple.
