Objectives

  • Distinguish Ordinal (1–26) from Full Reduction (1–9 cycle).
  • Separate Reverse (A=26…Z=1) from spelling a word backwards.
  • Recognize Sumerian as Ordinal ×6 on this site.

Five English maps, five jobs

Ordinal uses A=1 through Z=26. Full Reduction folds the alphabet into a repeating 1–9 cycle. Jewish on this site is the standard English A–Z table (A–I = 1–9, K–S = 10–90, T/U/X/Y/Z = 100–500, J=600, V=700, W=900) — not Hebrew letters.

Reverse keeps the spelling forward and flips the alphabet (A=26…Z=1). It is not the same as writing the word backwards — try the English Reverse gematria calculator. Sumerian multiplies each Ordinal letter value by six; use the Sumerian gematria calculator for that map alone.

Same spelling, different totals

LOVE is 54 in Ordinal and also 54 in Reverse for this particular word — coincidence of the map, not a rule that Reverse equals Ordinal. Full Reduction yields 18. Sumerian yields 324 (54×6). For the 1–9 cycle contrast, read Simple vs Full Reduction.

When stating a result, name the cipher. Cross-system comparison without labels is how mismatched claims spread.

Worked examples

  • LOVE· 18
    simple
    L=3 + O=6 + V=4 + E=5 = 18
    Note
    Full Reduction folds the alphabet into repeating 1–9 values. The same spelling yields a different total than Ordinal.
  • LOVE· 54
    reverse
    L=15 + O=12 + V=5 + E=22 = 54
    Note
    Reverse flips the alphabet map while keeping the spelling forward. For LOVE the sum matches Ordinal by coincidence, not by rule.
  • LOVE· 324
    sumerian
    L=72 + O=90 + V=132 + E=30 = 324
    Note
    On this site Sumerian scales each Ordinal letter value by six. LOVE’s Ordinal 54 becomes 324.

Module FAQ

  • Is Reverse the same as writing the word backwards?
    No. English Reverse keeps the spelling forward and flips the alphabet map (A=26…Z=1). Spelling a word backwards is a different procedure.
  • What is Sumerian on this site?
    English Sumerian multiplies each Ordinal letter value by six. LOVE’s Ordinal 54 becomes 324. For a calculator with only the Sumerian map, use the English Sumerian page.
  • When should someone use Full Reduction instead of Ordinal?
    Full Reduction folds A–Z into a 1–9 cycle. Use it when that map is the stated method; do not treat Full Reduction totals as interchangeable with Ordinal.
